Pescara guide

Pescara with kids: a family-friendly day by the sea

Pescara is a seaside destination where families can combine time on the sand with a walk along the Adriatic waterfront and a relaxed meal. With children, a little preparation makes the day easier: think about shade, water, the distance from your accommodation and how long your children enjoy staying at the beach.

Prices and availability are shown before you confirm.

Choose shade and a comfortable set-up

Young children need regular breaks away from direct sunlight. Before booking a beach spot, check how much shade it offers and how many sunbeds are included. Bring sun protection and drinking water, and follow local advice on heat and sea conditions.

Beach time or pool time?

A beach and a pool offer different experiences. Check pool rules and depth before you arrive, especially with very young children. A shallow pool is never a substitute for constant adult supervision. Ask whether pool entry is included in your beach booking or needs a separate reservation.

Keep meals simple

A beach day is more enjoyable when lunch is easy. Choose a restaurant or a takeaway option nearby, and check the menu for children or guests with allergies.

Family services at La Prora

La Prora, at Lungomare G. Matteotti 46, has several services for families:

  • umbrellas and larger Palme with more room for the whole family – see the beach;
  • a separate Family Pool, 50 centimetres deep, next to the adults’ pool – see the swimming pools (pool entry is paid separately);
  • a children’s play area on the beach;
  • a seafood restaurant with pizza and a takeaway counter.

A flexible family plan

Go to the beach at the time of day that suits your family best, take breaks in the shade, leave time for lunch and decide whether a pool visit fits in. You don’t need to pack every activity into one day: a simple plan is often the most comfortable choice.

We speak English

At reception, on the beach and in the restaurant you will be welcomed by a well-trained young team who speak excellent English. Ask us anything: we are always happy to help.
