One day in Pescara without a car
You can enjoy a great day in Pescara without renting a car. The city combines an Adriatic seafront, places to eat and a relaxed beach atmosphere that suits a short visit. The key is to keep the route simple and leave time for the sea.

Arriving by train or plane
Pescara Centrale is the city’s main railway station: from there, La Prora is about a 15-minute walk. From Abruzzo Airport, the taxi ride to La Prora takes about 6 minutes. For buses, stops and tickets, check the latest timetables before you travel. Full details are on our how to get here page.
Leave your luggage and head to the sea
Arriving or leaving with suitcases? At La Prora you can leave your bags at reception, free for up to 2 hours for beach, restaurant or bar customers and €3 per large bag for up to 8 hours, so you can enjoy the beach even on the day you travel.
Book a spot on the beach
If you would like a sunbed and shade, choose an equipped beach club. La Prora offers umbrellas and larger Palme that you can book for a single day: see the beach umbrellas and sunbeds. Pool entry is a separate service.
Enjoy a seafood lunch
A meal by the Adriatic is a good way to break up the day. La Prora has a seafood restaurant and a takeaway counter if you prefer to eat on the beach.
Leave time for the return journey
